Scott Beebe has been a lifelong animal trainer since the age of seven when he started training farm animals with his local 4H and Vocational Agriculture club. Over the past 40 years, Scott’s love of animals and shaping animal behaviors has led him to become a world renowned personal protection dog trainer and French Ring handler.
Scott is a graduate of the CT K-9 Education Center and became a professional dog groomer in 2002. Scott was certified by the state of CT Department of Higher Education to teach professional dog training/professional dog grooming and served as the director of CT K-9 Education Center from 2004-2013. Scott facilitated the CT Save-A-Pup program from 2004-2013 and served on the Aggressive Dog Team for the Humane Society of the USA after hurricane Katrina.
In 2007, Scott established Hop River Shepherds and began to specialize in training personal protection dogs and dogs with behavioral issues. Scott does training in obedience, obedience competition, bite work, police dog training, scent work, IPO, and French ring. Scott is Pet CPR-First Aid Certified and is a Canine Good Citizen Evaluator.
Scott has been President of the Renaissance Ring Club and training Director since 2010. He is a member of S.P.E.X. Ring Club in Mexico, a member of Cynophile 97.1 in Guadalupe, and is the Eastern Zone Representative for the North American Ring Association (NARA) for 2017-2018. Scott is the owner/handler of Champion Hop Rivers Trixie, the multi-award winning Dog of the Year for the United Kennel Club (UKC) and 2014 and 2015 NARA Ring 3 Domestic National Grand Champion.
